The Kustom Chair is a fully adjustable office chair, designed and made in Ireland by The Back Shop. Established in 1980, we combine our experience in spinal support with a wide range of adjustments, cushioning options, fabrics, and colours to create a chair suited to your individual requirements.

Personalised spinal support

The Kustom Chair incorporates unique Back Shop spinal support technology and can be adjusted to suit your body and working position. Its bespoke back height and seat depth help provide a more precise fit, while the adjustable backrest and lumbar support allow you to fine-tune the chair for comfort.

Tvedt cushioning allows you to sit with your shoulders in a more open position, helping create a comfortable upper-body posture.

A coccyx cut-out is also available for customers who require additional space and reduced pressure around the coccyx area.

The Kustom Chair is designed and made in Ireland by The Back Shop. Every chair is built to order and configured to your individual requirements, helping you create a personalised seating experience rather than adapting your body to a standard office chair.

You can choose from thousands of fabric types and colours to create a chair that suits your workspace and personal style.

Your consultation and measurements

You are welcome to visit The Back Shop for a personal consultation. Using our patented measuring chair, we sit you in the correct sitting posture and measure around you, including your spine, leg height, and seat width.

If you cannot travel to us, our on-site measuring service allows you to have your consultation in the comfort of your own home. Please contact us to discuss availability and arrange an appointment.

Made to order

Once your measurements, adjustments, cushioning, fabric, and colour choices have been confirmed, your Kustom Chair is made specifically for you.

Made-to-measure office chairs take approximately four weeks from measurement to completion.
