Every Madrid Recliner is individually measured to suit your body and preferred sitting position. During your consultation, we assess:

• Your individual back and neck shape.
• Seat depth.
• Sitting height.
• Seat width.
• Arm height.
• Back angle.

These measurements help create a recliner that provides personalized spinal support and a comfortable, balanced sitting position. You can choose from a selection of fabrics and colors to create a chair that complements your home and personal style.

Your consultation and measurements

You are welcome to visit The Back Shop for a personal consultation. Using our patented measuring chair, we sit you in the correct sitting posture and measure around you, including your spine, leg height, and seat width.

If you cannot travel to us, our on-site measuring service allows you to have your consultation in the comfort of your own home. Please contact us to discuss availability and arrange an appointment.

Made to order

Once your measurements, fabric, and color choices have been confirmed, your Madrid Recliner is made specifically for you. Made-to-measure home chairs, including recliners and non-reclining chairs, take approximately 10 to 12 weeks from measurement to completion.

Built to last

All our made-to-measure home recliners and non-reclining chairs are made with a beech timber frame, providing a strong and durable foundation for long-term use.

Delivery rates for home chairs, sofas, and beds outside the Dublin Metropolitan Area may fluctuate due to changes in our courier provider. For the most accurate delivery quotation, please contact us directly.
