Our bodies are designed to sit, stand, walk, run, bend, crouch, climb, swim, and thousands of other activities. Life today has us sitting for most of our workday (8 hours plus) and most of that time we sit in bad posture. Sitting in bad posture puts incredible pressure on the lumbar section of your back (up to 265 kg), which weakens it leading to back pain. If we keep sitting this way, this back pain gets worse as time passes.

The Back Shop designs and manufactures chairs that gently and comfortably ensure that you sit in perfect posture, thereby relieving stress on your spine. We manufacture chairs based on the universal engineering principals of the spine. They work by getting the spine back into equilibrium with its natural engineering – its own natural ‘S’ shape. When equilibrium is re-established, pain dissipates.
